JT's Tavern: A Karaoke Pub with Delicious Eats in San Diego, CA

Went here for an after-party of roller derby, fun times! Several choices of draft beers, including local craft beer, and a large choice of liquor available here. I ordered a pint of a local IPA. Did not eat here, but the kitchen was bringing out food quickly to several people. Will come back for drinks and food.

Bartenders were super cool.... They went above and beyond to say hi right away and poured great drinks. Mixology was on point!

Was recommended by a friend, the girls & I decided to check it out for our GF's surprise B-Day gathering. Service was great. VENMO & ZELLE accepted for food orders. Good music variety, just didn't get a chance to check out the patio & pool table. It does fill up quick so it's recommended to show up early for the karaoke & parking.

Cool spot right off fairmount. Variety of drinks on tap and a kitchen inside if you’re hungry. Pool outside was free which was awesome, worth checking if you’re on a trolley bar crawl, as it’s a 5 minute walk from the station.

Came here with my girlfriend for karaoke night, and even though I personally don’t sing, the atmosphere made it a great time. Lyle (security) and bartender Sara were both awesome — welcoming, friendly, and quick with the drinks. Sara knows how to keep the bar moving even when it’s busy, and Lyle keeps the energy in the room upbeat. The karaoke setup is smooth — clear screens, good sound, and a fair rotation so there’s always something entertaining happening. The crowd is a mix of regulars and new faces, but everyone’s here to have fun, whether they’re performing or just watching. Drinks were cold, well mixed, and priced right. The location is super convenient — right off the freeway on Mission Gorge Rd — and having a 7-Eleven next door is a bonus for grabbing snacks on the way home. Even if you’re not into singing, JT’s Tavern is worth checking out for the friendly vibe, great service, and lively entertainment. We’ll definitely be back.

The beer was cold the music was fun. I would like to special mention the food is delicious as always. Thank you Alberto! I highly recommend Friday Prime Rib special!

JT’s is a neighborhood bar. You’ll mainly see locals and regulars here. They don’t have a drink menu so be prepared and know what you want. Very casual place and they have karaoke on certain nights. You basically just seat yourself and make yourself comfortable. The kitchen is closed on Mondays and open at 3pm on other days. Cash, Venmo and Zelle only. It’s operated by one chef called Beto’s Kitchen at JT’s. We’ve been here many times. Wings take awhile so we call to place an order and come pick up. We had Prime Rib Friday’s for $24 that comes with roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. Perfect seasoning but the piece of meat was very chewy. Loved that beer battered onion rings did not fall apart and maintained crispiness. Also got chicken nachos which were loaded and had fresh fried tortilla chips. Parking is tight, either in front of 7-11 or in the back. They have an outdoor patio with a pool table and games as well as tvs.

Karaoke Tuesdays through Sunday. Brandon, Luke, David, and Sarah are the bartenders that I know, and they always look out for their customers and make great drinks. I've been going here for 20 years and it just keeps getting better. Kjs Kara, Chad and Will are great. Kara has dealt with all my craziness and she is still nice to me haha!!
